We made history last year.
We elected the first Black Woman Supervisor in San Diego County.
We took a grassroots movement to yet another hall of power.
We brought a model of governance that puts the People first.
Words are not enough to thank you for showing up for our County. It’s been a long journey, and you have fought for the accountable, responsive Supervisor you deserve every step of the way.
Thank you for voting, donating, and having those tough conversations with your neighbors throughout the election.
The Board of Supervisors serves over 3.2 million San Diegans – this is not a task I take lightly.
As your Supervisor, I look forward to teaming up with you to tackle homelessness, promote holistic public safety, and invest in our County. Together, we can move the People’s County forward.
It has been the honor of my life to serve the community I grew up in as its City Councilmember. It will be an honor to represent the County I grew up in as the first Black Woman Supervisor in San Diego’s history.
Thank you for trusting me with our shared vision for our County. I look forward to serving you.
